WHO WE ARE |

H&B tyres is owned by Mike Hobbs which he co runs with Pete Larman. Mike is a local Frome man with long connections in the town. Mike first started in the car repairing trade back in 1972 working from a shed at the back of his garden in Victoria road, mainly fitting and replacing tyres. On the 9th July 1977 Mike became ' full time ' based from his premises at Willow Vale and continued to grow his business further until he outgrew these premises. He relocated to his current workshop in Christchurch Street on the 14th January 1980, selling and repairing tyres, exhausts, batteries. In those days he even sold petrol !
In October 2003 a second depot was opened, based at the rear of the Portway Service Station. This depot specialises in motorbike repairs and services, as well as motorbike tyres and alloy wheels. This depot is also used if the main garage at Christchurch Street is busy.
Mike Hobbs and H & B Tyres are a long established local company who are pleased to support Local Charities and Sportsmen in Frome. They have supported the local Football and Rugby clubs, Local Majorettes, Sportshouse and Collegians football teams. Local Rally Driver, Dave Bowden, and Motor X rider Carl Luke, also benefit from Mikes sponsorship. H & B also provide tyres for their car and bike as well as advertising for their vehicles.

WHAT WE DO |

From the workshop in Christchurch
Street, Mike, Pete and their team of 6 highly skilled staff, offer a range of
services including, tyre repairs and sales, exhausts, batteries,
computerised wheel alignment, tracking and puncture repairs. If you need new tyres H & B stock a large range of top name, top quality tyres and can get your car road worthy in no time at all. H & B also provide a mobile service, so if you have trouble with your car battery they will get you going again. Spare tyres can be fixed, but not on the roadside due to Health & Safety issues. A breakdown service is available for Agricultural uses only. H & B undertake work on lease vehicles, cars, light vans and on Agricultural tyres. Some commercial work can also be undertaken. H & B tyres are open 7 days a week so there is always a time that is good for you. All major Credit / Debit cards are accepted. Opening hours are : |
